Generalities:

It is an alteration of the state of mind in which the person passes from periods of depression to periods of mania (excess of activity).

In the period of depression the person sees everything in a negative way (hopelessness), it can be accompanied by anguish, sadness, apprehension. It also manifests with physiological alterations such as lack of appetite, excess of sleep, fatigue.

While the manic phase has opposite symptoms: Grandiloquence, euphoria, optimistic way of thinking, with physiological manifestations such as insomnia, excess appetite, and so on.

Bipolar disorder frequently begins in adolescence, although it can occur at any age, and usually does not remit spontaneously. If it is not treated, it can affect different areas of the person: family, couple, studies, work, etcetera. In severe cases it can lead to suicide.

Biomagnetism has had encouraging results with this condition, in some sessions patients have been able to reduce or eliminate the administration of medications.
