Gallbladder Gallstone, its size can vary from a few millimeters to several centimeters. They consist mainly of cholesterol or bilirubin. Some of the factors that favor its formation are:

• Obesity and feeding with excess saturated fats
  
• Diabetes
• Organ or bone marrow transplant
• Failure of Gallbladder to empty bile
• Cirrhosis or liver infections
  
• Disorders that cause a lack of red blood cells
• Contraceptive pills
• Psycho-emotional alterations (anger)
