Generalities:

It is a type of cancer difficult to diagnose because the symptoms can be confused with other conditions such as hepatitis.

Symptoms:

  • Jaundice
  • Lack of appetite
  • Chronic tiredness
  • Poor assimilation of nutrients
  • Weight Loss
  • Type II diabetes
  • Pale color stool

Risk factor's:

The risk factors may be: suffering from diabetes, alcoholism, smoking, obesity, metabolic disorders.

Due to its difficult diagnosis, in the majority of cases it is detected in advanced stages, and it is difficult to reverse. Some of the treatments include chemotherapy, radiotherapy, targeted therapy and surgery. The latter is a delicate procedure that alters the functioning of the digestive system to varying degrees, depending on the portion of the pancreas that is removed (head, body, tail).
