The Human Papilloma Virus is considered one of the main detonating factors of cancer; such as cervical cancer, cancer of the penis, or throat cancer. This can happen after a long time of having the virus and has a higher incidence in women than in men, also in them the disease has greater symptoms; in man, most of the time it is asymptomatic.

It is estimated that more than 80% of the human population, sexually active, at some point in their life has contracted the virus. It can remain latent (asymptomatic) for prolonged periods, so the person can infect it inadvertently. Therefore, it is recommended to also review the sexual partner (s).

It is transmitted by sexual contact (genital, anal, oral). It is advised to use the condom, keep only one sexual partner. The vaccine is also a good preventive measure.
