Generalities:

Varied symptoms: can infect the skin causing itching of swimmers. The infection can spread affecting various systems such as gastrointestinal, causing diarrhea and gastric alterations. It can affect urogenital organs and the nervous system, among others.

Transmission:

Transmission by turtles, fish, infested water, (ingestion, skin contact). It can also infect livestock species and other mammals (pets). The transmission from the pet to the human is rare.
