Generalities:

The thyroid regulates the weight and metabolism of calcium. It causes hyperthyroidism (growth of the gland), obesity, goiter, exophthalmos (the eyeball is displaced forward), hand tremor and fluid retention.

The thyroid regulates the basal metabolism of the body, this will help to understand the symptoms of its dysfunction: weakness, muscle cramps, fatigue, drowsiness, psychomotor retardation, decreased memory, poor concentration, forgetfulness, bad mood, irritability, deafness, depression , weight gain due to fluid retention, infertility, constipation, dysphonia, nervousness, menstrual cycle alterations, abundant periods, decreased heartbeat frequency, intolerance to cold, dry, rough skin, frequently with appearance of a yellowish color due to the accumulation of carotenes, dry hair, hair loss, swelling of the eyelids and face, hoarseness and persistent cough or pharyngitis.
