Generalities:

Trichinosis Caused by the nematode Trichinella Spiralis. It causes fever, muscle and joint pain and elevated leukocytes. It has an affinity for striated muscle.

The larvae of the Triquinela are found in different animals such as pig, morza, fox, rat, horse and lion. By eating contaminated and uncooked meat from one of these species, the larva is transmitted, which later infects the organism, mainly affecting the digestive system and the striated muscle. They also affect the blood. The most complex infections involve the heart, lungs and / or brain.

Transmission:

By eating infected and uncooked meat (pork the most common).
