The pineal gland is responsible for circadian cycles and therefore regulates sleep; this by means of the hormone melatonina that activates with the solar light and diminishes its production in the night. The hormone is a powerful antioxidant that has anti-aging effects on various organs and tissues, activates the immune system and its production improves irritable bowel syndrome.
