Generalities:

A canker sore is an open, painful ulcer or sore in the mouth. Canker sores are white or yellow and are surrounded by a bright red area. They are not cancerous. They can mainly be caused by the foot and mouth disease virus.

Transmission

Due to consumption of contaminated foods (dairy).
