Generalities:

Opportunistic bacteria that is part of the natural flora of the human being. It lives on the skin and particularly on the scalp, face, ears and neck. It can infect and present complications in immunocompromised patients. Certain invasive devices such as valves or catheters allow the bacteria to form a biofilm infecting the patient, which is difficult to avoid as it inhabits the skin.

Transmission:

Present in all humans.
