Generalities:

Melanoma is a type of skin cancer. Cancer cells are found in the outer layer of the skin: the epidermis. One of the main causes is exposure to UV rays from the sun for prolonged periods. It can progress rapidly and spread (metastasize) to other organs. The presence of the Hanta virus favors its appearance.
